I looked in to this a few times for fun but never reached a conclusion. There are a ton of wild similarities. The younger photos of them are important, but could easily have been manufactured. There is evidence of that as well. Odd how they shared the same best friend, and production company, in the same town, yet were never photographed together? Alex even has Bill’s old Les Paul…?
